We’ve been busy the past 2 years taking care of hazardous trees and we are finally almost done with that work and are now turning our attention to replacing some of those trees with native plants.
This spring, we will be planting in a couple of our greenbelts where there have been trees removed. We have purchased nearly 100 bare root starts from the Thurston Conservation District’s annual plant sale.
We have also been busy removing blackberry from the area adjacent to the LBA Woods trail entry at the top of Highline Dr. and Frontier Dr. and will be planting native plants in that area.
